Her story
Katherine Saville founded Cancer Support Netherlands after facing two diagnoses of HER2-positive breast cancer, including a stage 4 metastatic recurrence. Her experience navigating cancer in a foreign healthcare system revealed a critical gap: the lack of culturally sensitive, community-based support for people from diverse backgrounds.
Determined to change that, Katherine launched a movement grounded in empathy, peer connection, and lived experience — with the bold vision that no one should face cancer alone in the Netherlands.
Katherine brings over 20 years of experience as an English-qualified solicitor in the financial services industry. Her leadership combines strategic clarity with deep compassion, helping to shape a growing, community-led organization that advocates for inclusive care and systemic change.
